Yeah, I've been debating having a 24" rear wheel built with a Profile hub for a little more noise vs the shimano. Need to weigh pros and cons besides the upfront expense. Honestly have never ran mixed wheels, I understand it would slacken the 67 degree head angle a bit etc.
Thanks for all the positive feedback on the foes, it's going to be well loved and used this season.

Uh, I was thinking go the other way 27.5" in front?
This
Lots of experimenting later on the Jibb, I have a 60mm stem and 50mm rise bars and no spacers, and from a fit perspective it feels way better.
That said given it's not a very slack bike to begin with, with a 60mm stem the front wheel feels pretty "tucked" underneath me, which is not a great feeling on north shore trails.
I think the bike is just flat out too small, oddly enough. I can actually get the front end up easier with a 60mm stem than a 35mm stem, because I can actually move around and get some leverage.
My ripmo af at 475mm reach did not feel so cramped, but slightly slacker seat tube and shorter rear stays offset the front center length, I guess.
I think especially with 440+ stays and 77 degree+ sear tube angle, I need something with 490+ reach.

Ah ok, shows how out of date I am I guess that would be an easy conversion, lots of room for a 27.5" with a DC Shiver. Side note, anyone know where I can source 01 Shiver decals? Found some counterfeit stuff on ebay would prefer OEM but it's also a 21 years old so unlikely to find.
24" rear with a 26" up front would be nice. Cannot go wrong with a Shiver. They are classic.
How tall are you, Kenny?
180cm, but a pretty long torso. Usually 460-480mm reach works for me.
Since I have one in a box I'm going to try an angleset as well, it will make the reach shorter but maybe the longer front center will short circuit my brain somehow. Worth a shot. If that doesn't help I think I will just move on and sell/trade it for something else.
It´s a bit weird with the Jibb. I am 1,83m with short torso but long arms and legs. Even though it isn't much smaller than my Madonna of the same size (both large), it feels a lot smaller, standing up. I like it, but I won't keep it in my stable. It is too close to the Madonna and I'll swap the frame for a used and much less potent XC/Trail bike with a bit less overlap. I'll occasionally use this bike for mellow trails or fireroad adventures and ride the Madonna 90% of my time on proper trails.
I LOVE the Madonna and will cling to this bike - it has practically NO drawbacks for me and fit is perfect.
I have several riding buddies who substituted their Madonna or other bike with a Jibb however and dearly love it. They are all a bit smaller though. Right around 1,78m or less - also on larges. Different strokes...
I had a short pedal and a long hard look at an Arrival the other day. Good lord, I had special feelings. Really special feelings.

I posted mine up on page 5, not sure how to post pics in the thread but I linked my photo album.
