Of course it's custom. Nobody is making a bike like this stock or I would have bought it. Actually the Pole HT is pretty close but at that price it made more sense to do it my way. I wasn't at all happy with my Evolink's engineering or finish so I wasn't keen to give them any more money. I'm not convinced they have any idea what they're doing

The pole includes the rear axle and headset for $1,000 CA$ delivered with duties paid. How much more was custom? I’m seriously considering the pole, but keep holding out for a second hand 2017/18 primer frame to pop up for around the same $.

After a two year hiatus from hardtails I am back and man do I not know how to ride a hardtail anymore. My Norco Range spoiled me. Picked up a Chromag Wideangle. The build is nothing crazy. 160mm Pike Minion DHF/DHR widetrails. 150mm Reverb. 165mm Black Spire cranks. Can't wait to get good at hardtails again.

I tried to get into the hardtail game. Bought the only "XL" hardtail on the used market that matched my criteria. Thought it was a reputable buyer (I had even bought from him before), but took it home and realized later it was actually only a L. He refused to do anything about it other than to offer me a 100mm stem, and now doesn't answer any of my messages. Anyone interested in a L Torrent frame if I find something else to swap it with?

That sucks! You'll sell it eventually. Then start learning the geometry for the bike you're looking to buy and bring a tape measure when you go check it out.

I just finished building up my Rootdown. I went from a 2016 M to a 2019 M/L, which is also 2 degrees slacker. With its steep seat tube angle, the old bike always felt a bit cramped while seated (I’m 5’8”), so I’m happy to be on the next size up.

I only have a couple laps on it but it feels like a rocket on the way down, though it requires a more active riding style to drive it through corners. But between the longer reach and slacker head angle, any nervousness the old bike had is gone.

The fork is a 51 mm offset Fox 36 FIT4 at 150 mm travel, and I went from a 50 mm stem on the M to a 40 mm on the M/L.

Build done, first ride done. 2019 Chromag Primer (nouseforaname's former bike), I need to fiddle around with tire pressure, otherwise, very pleased.

New Chromag as was hit and run riding home in March.

You ok?

Hit on March 4th. Helmet cut in two by impact and initial view was treat for a head injury....fortunately MRI was clear and no head or spin injury. Left eye was swollen and worried about detached retina, thankfully no. Whiplash in neck and lower was bruised and black for 2 weeks. Knee is suspected partial or full MCL tear and strained ACL.  Been wearing knee brace for any activity since.  And docs confirmed have a case of PTSD.

Will finally get told the MRI results on Monday.  Only thing was told since was do not run. LOL.
