Not as extreme as the bike in the last post (what a beast!) but a fun little companion for my regular ride, a Chromag Stylus.

It’s a large Specialized Fuse with RS Pike Ultimates up front and Next SL 32x18 SS drivetrain at the rear. 160mm Bike Yoke post holds a carbon Phenom saddle and RF have the cockpit covered.

The 29’er frame is currently sporting a pair of the older style 650b Traverse fattie SL wheels and 2.6” Rekon exo+ rubber. So the BB is a ground hugging 305 mm off the deck. The 140mm forks and 66’ish HA are all party, but the 25 pound weight means business.

Just in time for the 2020 thread... Here is my Gnartail for the 2019 riding season. I took all the parts form my Optic build and put them on this frame so I could relive my hardtail youth. RS pike set at 160mm. 165mm cranks.36mm id Duroc rims. 2.6 Eliminators. 150mm dropper. only 300km on it and I am loving it. Only gripe is the tires. The Black Diamond casing is way too stiff and the tire sidewall sticks out past the knobs so the rocking island trails are cutting up the sidewalls. I am going to switch to 2.6 minions.

Here's mine.

A 2019 Honzo ST size XL.

I got this frame at the end of November last year as a warranty for my 2012 Honzo. I wasn't very keen on the green metallic paint so I diy stripped the frame down to raw and put a rattle can matte finish clear coat on it.

2016 RC2 Float 36 160mm non-boost

Works Components -2 angleset

Chromag cockpit with Sensus Meaty Paws grips

A mix of Sram GX, X0 and SunRace drivetrain

Nobl TR36 rim on an E13 LG1 front and a Spank 359 Vibrocore with steel freehub rear

Saint 200mm/180mm brakes

9point8 175mm

Magic Mary with CushCore F/R

Yes by. What width of rim are you running the 2.6 minions on?

Do you have the tires mounted on the 35mm rims already? How does the tire profile look, are they still very round? By c hair are the knobs wider by 1mm?

Yes.

DHR looks less "round" than Hans Dampf say. Not too round, not too square. Profile is pleasing to the eye.

DHF still has a kind of step down from centre to side knobs but not as pronounced as when I put them on 30mm wide rims. I tell myself it'll be just fine because lower pressure in front tyre will allow contact patch to conform to ground.

~1mm? I'd say even on a good day. On a rocky trail day you might be sol.

Sorry, I posted through mobile and it's showing the photos for me and it's only showing one post.

Unsure how to correct the problem.

it's probably due to the picture setting on your google account - you need to change the settings to public
