I'd guess they are the alloys based on the shape where it meets the crank-arm.
sweet looking ride for sure

You are correct. I'm very impressed with the pedals. They just feel right.

Nice bike! Custom steel is pretty darn cool. Not sure I could stomach the price of that one though. Enjoy!
Shockingly not as pricey as you might think. Keep an eye on what starling have in store for 2018.

I have so much want for a bike like that. I hope when I need a new frame there's something a little more affordable out there.
Damn.

I've been hiding this one for too long...
Details:
- Starling Murmur frame custom painted by 7Pot Customs in the UK
- DVO Diamond fork set to 150mm travel and Emerald rear shock
- Steerer tapped for a OneUp top cap and EDC
- We Are One Agent rims laced to P321 hubs (such a nice wheelset)
- Race Face NEXT cranks, 30t chain ring (now a OneUp Switch chainring)
- XTR shifting over a EThirteen 10-44t cassette
- Renthal Apex 33mm stem, Fatbar carbon 35 trimmed to 780mm wide
- Hope Tech 3 E4 brakes
- 9Point8 175mm travel dropper post
- King headset and bottom bracket
- Ergon saddle and grips
- Maxxis Minion DHF 2.5" WT front and 2.3" rear (likely will swap the rear for a DHRII soon)
- OneUp flat pedals (these are so good I'm back to running flats full time)
As built with the EDC it weighs in at 32.5lbs.
Ride wise... silent, smooth and picks up speed and maintains it exceptionally. I'm shocked with the grip that this bike seems to find and have been reveling in the slingshot effect when I let it run tear through a corner. Admittedly getting the rear shock set up took some time but now the bike is dialed for my tastes.
sweet ride
that's a similar feeling I noticed coming out of corners on my 29er when I first started riding it .
and are your pedals alloy or plastic ??

Review of the Murmur here from PB.

As shown in that article, the bike + shock would run north of $4500 CDN. Actually pricier than what I would have thought.
They seem to have had some teething issues (according to the article) that might get sorted going forward, will be interesting to see. I dont imagine many people in the market at that price though.

How are those ohlins coils performing Rnayel?

After about 20 hours of riding, I'm liking them. I have the intention of getting the bike set up by Arthur once I've ridden the bike enough to warrant a first suspension service. So far, so good.
Quick addition, the suspension feels better now with the updated linkage. Specialized modified the linkage for 2018 and the piece is compatible with 2017 frames and is being sold as an aftermarket update. The suspension feel is much more balanced.
Same same as last year, but new new vinyl wrap for the season.
Where did you get those tyres?!
Had them special ordered from Dunbar Cycles. The distro's only bring in a handful so it's a hard find. They don't make them in WT's though, so I'm going to go back to regular tires in WT.
Hey Kaz just curious - do you ride your Bronson at WBP or do you procure something bigger for such adventures?

I do ride my Bronson in the bike park; when I first got it I had a downhill bike so I justified going for the 150mm Bronson instead of something bigger. I've since sold my DH bike and turned the Bronson into my do-it-all bike, and I have no regrets. I did up-size some parts like a longer fork, bigger chainring, and a 203mm rotor up front. There are a few moments I wish I was on a bigger bike, but I've been having so much fun on a smaller bike.
Finally got around to putting this together. Not bad for a $2600 build including brand new group set/bar/stem/tires/shock
