So who will be the first to post up a electronic shifting bike? XT is affordable now………

Just have to get it mounted on a bike. Too many projects…my current ride is 30.25lbs but I have plans/parts to drop just over 600g which should have it sitting under 29lbs.

Will be 136mm travel frame paired with a 150mm fork.

Still a possibility that I move that up to 140ish.

As with the way Kona designed their Process line I am not designing to a specific travel but to a LR that I want to hit within a travel window. In this case I'd be happy with anywhere from 130 to 145mm of travel so long as I get the lr I want with the shock size I've picked.

It's currently designed around a 210mm x 55mm metric sized shock.

Nice if you need a hand with anything let me know , I have a above average shop to play in

Yes some similarities.

The Xprezo's leverage curve has a different shape (progressive - linear - progressive), also with main pivot placement we end up with much different AS curves. I've got a bit more anti-rise on mine but chain growth comes out the same.

Oh and mine's a wagon wheeler.

You nsmb guys are gonna love this

Bought a used crack n fail rush for dirt cheap as a second/wife XC bike, threw on my 27.5 wheels and dropper post.

The stock 69 degree head angle is lame, I happened to have a cane creek angleset sitting in my parts bin so I bought a project 321 1/1/8 steer tube.

-1 degree bottom cup and a -1 degree top cup should make the bike around 67 right now. Cool!

Oh and a 45mm stem. Rush is looong a large has a reach of 460mm.

13" bb height, 67 HA, 74 SA, 460mm reach, 650b, 110mm travel. Not bad for $350 bux + parts I had

Got a new bike on route. Ended up going with Bronson carbon, bike and parts on route. Now what to do about this snow.

Could have had the SRAM 11 spd 11-42, but instead, will be running an XT 11 spd drivetrain with 32 front and 11-46 out back. Kind of wish it has the 11-42, then I would add the one-up conversion to get the 47. That way the lower gears are 32-37-42-47 rather than 32-37-46.

Will run the 46 to see how the gap between 37-46 feels. It did feel pretty big on my 10 spd with 36-42.

Next SL cranks should be SixC for the Shore. Next cranks intended usage should only be for XC or Trail, of course not DH , but even All Mtn. or Enduro is gonna be too much for these super light cranks. Unfortunately I learned the hard way (twice). The stress from All Mtn or Enduro is too much for the Next SL.
SixC are on the way for moi.

By no means am I unhappy with Race Face Quality, but I do feel that the Next SL have been mis-marketed in the way that all of us believe they will handle the wear and tear of N.Shore riding….they won't , go with the SixC or the Alu Turbine to be safe.

Sooo… eating my words here.. mine are starting to go. lots of play at the pedal on the non drive side.

I raced a bunch of enduros, but im not doing huge jumps or drops. Just the stuff you see on the shore, squamish etc.

2017 Transition Patrol

2017 Transition Patrol-2 by Austin Smith, on Flickr

Finally took some actual photos of my new rig. Now I can finally move my 2009 Morewood Zuza that I've been riding since 2010 to spare bike status. It's a nice change of pace to be riding a bike that, other than the pedals, where none of the parts were bought used :D

'Tis a beaut! Hubba. Nicely put together pic too.

How's the Tomahawk rear? Had a sketchy first impression on one.

While technically correct pointing up, for some reason QR's not pointing back give me an eye twitch.

Thank you! The Tomahawk isn't too to bad, but not really the right tire for the current conditions. Quick as hell but yeah, a little sketchy. Looking forward to seeing how it'll do in the summer/trip to Moab in May.
