I was amazed the first time I rode my Enduro 29er in the bike park. Only thing that scares me though is beating the crap out of it vs. my old DH bike, which was a tank.

UCI has barred Enduro bikes from downhill comps because they're too fast.

I heard DH is making a comeback.
While I don't rack up the DH days like I used to, I still think the DH bike is the best tool for the park, IMO. I was planning on keeping my Scott Gambler for this year but a last minute deal ended up changing my plans…..should have something to post up soon.

So I had it shipped to my hotel and brought it home with me, built it up with spare parts from my home garage and my bike shop's broken shit bin. Turned out pretty stellar all things considered.

Some really nice looking rigs in here. Last summer I was riding my HT in parks as well, but missed that buttery feeling. Soo…with a few more months of free time at my hands I am thinking of rebuillding my 2007 STD and then do some runs at parks in central Europe, the Stylus as my come along for the trails and explorations.
Still got the wheels, the fork, just need everything else: rear der and shifter, bb and cranks, brakes, cockpit.

I haven't had a chance to ride it anywhere just yet…pretty excited to explore the possibilities in the spring though. Though it is old as hell, the geometry on this thing is surprisingly progressive, I would say definitely comparable to modern slope geo. 16.2" stays, which is among the shortest on any horst-link frame I am aware of. Fairly low BB, 22.5"ish TT.
