DH bike no more. Don't miss it.
I will be the same this year, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't going to miss it at WBP.

I saw that bike for sale and thought, "Wow, that's a great price!".
You're going to love it. Bring on May!!

+1
I was amazed the first time I rode my Enduro 29er in the bike park. Only thing that scares me though is beating the crap out of it vs. my old DH bike, which was a tank.

just feels faster because you're getting beat to piss along with your bike….
UCI has barred Enduro bikes from downhill comps because they're too fast.
Is this the '2017 - bash on DH/Park bikes' thread?
I heard DH is making a comeback.
While I don't rack up the DH days like I used to, I still think the DH bike is the best tool for the park, IMO. I was planning on keeping my Scott Gambler for this year but a last minute deal ended up changing my plans…..should have something to post up soon.
Thanks dean for the embed!
Not a park bike, not really a slopestyle bike, not sure what thread this belongs in…
25.77 pounds as pictured. 2005ish Turner 4X team frame.
I've always wanted this frame, and I saw this one pop up for sale in Europe while I was planning a vacation. So I had it shipped to my hotel and brought it home with me, built it up with spare parts from my home garage and my bike shop's broken shit bin. Turned out pretty stellar all things considered.

Grip: Dartmoor Block
Seat: Selle Italia SLR
Seatpost: Deity Syringe
Cranks: Truvativ Stylo + 36t Ebay narrow-wide w/ alu bolts
Chain: Shimano CN-6701
Shifter: Shimano Saint 10 speed
Housing: Nokon
Derailleur: Shimano XTR M9000 w/ Zee cage

That's a neat piece of history.
There's nothing better than an Orangina after cheating death with Digger.
Steelset, nice. You ride that in the park? There were some great 4x frames out in the mid 2000s that could be built into killer trail bikes.
Some really nice looking rigs in here. Last summer I was riding my HT in parks as well, but missed that buttery feeling. Soo…with a few more months of free time at my hands I am thinking of rebuillding my 2007 STD and then do some runs at parks in central Europe, the Stylus as my come along for the trails and explorations.
Still got the wheels, the fork, just need everything else: rear der and shifter, bb and cranks, brakes, cockpit.
What does nsmb say?

I haven't had a chance to ride it anywhere just yet…pretty excited to explore the possibilities in the spring though. Though it is old as hell, the geometry on this thing is surprisingly progressive, I would say definitely comparable to modern slope geo. 16.2" stays, which is among the shortest on any horst-link frame I am aware of. Fairly low BB, 22.5"ish TT.
