You know, I am considering replacing the Nomad I sold recently with a 650 150 travel beast of some kind. But I seem to have fun on the hardtail and I don't really limit where I ride because I am hardtailing. I limit where I go due to perceived risk really. So I ride slower and walk stunts?

New BMX for 2015: Intense Podium, with Speedline carbon fork, DX-R, etc.

It came out pretty light at 18.8lbs…with still plenty of room for weight reduction if I want to go full-retard on weight-weenie-ism, but it'll be just fine like that for a while! :clap:

Based on my workstand test: Yes, precisely!

We're still buried in snow over here so it'll be while until I get the chance to test the bike. :)

Everybody - watch it, or watch it again - Digger's Down and Dirtier (NSX 2) for serious hardtail action. So sick.

The more I ride my Surface the less I want to ride anything else.

The Mavic is a much higher quality rim and KoF's experience is the status quo for that product.

I ran them on my 26" hardtail for years and years with the same results: bomb proof, straight, not particularly light.

Guess what…getting the spokes and nipples (brass) fixed was waaaaaay cheaper than getting the Mavic rim laced up.

So I get a new rear wheel for serious abuse. There is one from a company called Veltec that has been designed from the ground up for DH and FR type of riding, can get it for a qr, and only 10 bucks more than if I had gotten the Mavic rim.

Advantage - two types of rear wheels for different terrain.

Flicking back through this thread, it looks like I promised puppies and cheerleaders when my Whishart was resprayed (thanks Toxik Harald), but alas I forgot…. I'm stoked with the paint job and getting the bike back out on the trails today:
