Ordered a new handlebar for my bike, Race Face Atlas riser in 1.25. I hope that it improves my riding down a hill.
Other than that, still thinking about getting a 55 cr, but money is a tad tight, have a singletrack rim which I want to get build up for the rear - another summer trip to Are in Sweden is on the horizon. First summer for the little one to be able to ride a bike with pedals. So awesome.

Not many changes since this picture except lowered stem, SLX M530 pedals, tires running tubeless, full size mucky nutz front fender and some nice battle scars.

Pretty spot on review on the Explosif…. I'd argue that it would be cool to see it come stock with a 140mm fork. With the settings I've tried that seems to be the most all around fun and capable to me. Rock Razor with Muddy Mary was my tire combo last year and that was unreal.

interesting. i emailed kona about the explosif a few years ago to ask about the stock fork. here's the engineer's response "Hi, its set to its max travel out of the box. Our riders just find a fork longer than 5 makes the handling too unpredictable, slow and slack when topped out and fast when compressed can cause issues on a hardtail."

Not disappointed with that purchase in any way. Lateral stiffness is unreal. Their settings are easy to figure out and they work. And it hasn't creaked yet, which was my main motivation. While being light, that crown is beefy.
Only thing I don't like is you need a proprietary socket tool to take it apart. Which means order that thing up front, or know someone who is handy with a lathe so they can make you one.
