Something that I've been patiently gathering odds n ends for.

So far, I have the Imperial frame, 2013 fox float 36 rlc, some deemax, Diabolus post, x9 shifter and der, raceface northshore cranks and evil srs. Pretty sure the evil sram and raceface arent going to make it to next step though.

Resized image is way easier to see and maybe even appreciate.

Finally got round to doing my first ever fork service/coil change on the Sektor. It was so easy to do, wish I'd done it ages ago! The whole bike feels transformed now I've got the firm spring in it (despite me being about the right weight for the regular one, according to the RS chart). Way more controlled than before and no fork dive but I still get full travel on the bigger hits. Had an awesome ride at Aston Hill today, questioning whether I need to bother getting a FS at the minute! What do you guys use for rear tyres though? I have to run my Clutch SX really hard to stop me getting pinch flats. Anyone make a good dual ply high volume 2.3ish tyre? I used to use a 60a High Roller DH but I prefer higher volume on a HT, and also maxxis tyres are heavy as shit compared to specialized.

Oh and seriously impressed with narrow/wide and clutch. Aston Hill is so rooty in places and not one dropped chain with no top guide.

the owner of the world cycles in vancouver was selling his large g1 surface a while back, not sure if it's still around - you could fire him an email: theworldcycles.com

thanks dude, i've decided to go full out and am ordering a new Surface w/some bits from Chromag. using lots of parts from my older kona hei hei so it definitely won't be winning any beauty contests, but should be a great bike for the trails around here

I'm getting chubby for this: http://www.ibiscycles.com/bikes/tranny29/

I liked my 26 version a lot.

Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.

I'm liking the belt drive option for the Tranny. Cool deal with no need for sliding dropouts or eccentric BB. We need to see more of these kind of bikes, in steel, and with more aggressive geo;). Mind you there is nothing wrong with the Tranny geo for it's intended purpose.
