Bike looks great Lowcard. I see your order with Ti-springs.com went well.I need to order one for my bike as well. My steel spring is rusty and ugly, did you have any issues getting the spring?

I put in my order, then Brian from Renegade Cycle Solutions (RCS) told me to hold off because he just picked up Renton Coil Springs (RCS), so I ordered one from him instead.

Some updates to the old beast… (sorry for the horrendous pic)

Finally converted to 1x10
WTB Frequency i23's which were a cakewalk to build up.
Tubeless conversion.

Dropped almost a kilo and now she's 31.1 lbs. Next on the list are some lighter pedals.

Bern playing around with my bar height lately.

And I swear I can feel a big difference when I lower the bars 5mm.
It does feel a bit more xc on the descents but also the bike feels quite a bit quicker and faster on pedally bits.
Now I am really torn between those two settings and going back and forth. I even considered a 2.5mm spacer.

But I wonder, am I imagining things, can a meager 5mm even be "felt"?

What do you guys think?

If you're talking about weight on the bars it's all in your head.

Fact.

Totally. Might not do anything to your riding ability, but it can be felt for sure. I can notice a 2.5mm spacer. 5mm is pretty big.

Where do you have more fun (most smiles produced). Adjust the bars accordingly.

Good advice!

I guess the lower setting feels faster and more fun. Might raise it for the park days.

I might even add another variable and put on a wider carbon bar and see how fun that gets :)
