Yeah Heathen

Nice bike and thanks for adding in an action pic, this should be the new standard moving forward if you
agree and have pics to share

I agree seeing bike porn is cool but I like riding more then porn. lol

is going big on a bike the only way to get you stoked on the sport? what happened to riding with your bros, travelling, and riding unique places, to get people stoked on riding?

fines are useless. there needs to be more punches to the throat.

Still loving this bike since I got it summer of 2010. Made some big upgrades this spring.

The most enjoyable but also the biggest pain in the ass was reaming the seat tube to 30.9 to fit the KS. But the 150mm of travel is so sweet!

Also did the Pike, Monarch Debonair, Trail XO's, 65mm stem and gave in to 10 speed.

Did you do the reaming yourself?

I did one bike of mine (30.0 to 30.9). About 12hours later the post fit but man was it a messy to clean up.

Couldn't resist, got a cracking deal on a frame only purchase, so got shot of the E29, as much as I liked it, it niggled me for a few things.

Built it up from bits of that, and raided the spares box. Just waiting for a Magic Mary for the front and I'm done. Currently 28.2lbs, but that's with 2 a Super Gravity tyres on. I'll lose a pound in them when these come off.

Man, sounds like too much trouble and stress. My Fluid's seat tube is 30.0. I just opted to get a 27.2 post with a shim get the fit right.

Just curious … Would reaming the seat tube that much weaken it?

i remember cove was offering to ream out tubes on their frames for customers who bought reverbs from them. so, they seem to think not, at least in their case

Yup. Just laced up the wheels Thursday and first ride was the Nimby. Nice wheels and stiff. Bar is RF Next SL. Running RF 32T narrow wide ring and hope 40t cog out back.

had a chance to try one of these at the demo today. unreal. it was in my top2 picks with the new rune. I went with the rune because they were good to deal with, besides being in my top 2 picks, and no frame option on the Spartan yet. I wanted short cs's. wondering if I made the right choice now. pedaled well even standing but the down was full on play time. 1st time on 650b but that thing is super agile(I think because of the short cs and bb height?). wouldn't change a thing on it. had it in the steeper setting. like to try the other setting. just a quick 40 minute loop though. you must be psyched

3 rides on it over the weekend and totally psyched on it. Like you say it's very agile - easy to manual, great pop on jumps, turns great. I'm running it in the low setting and it feels super planted. Pedals great as well even without using the compression switch on the shock. Stoked!
