…and very briefly a Bronson.

Bronson not up to par? I've been hearing mixed reports on this bike.

The Bronson is a fantastic bike. It just didn't suit me very well for what I was looking for. Had a bit of a 'dead' feel to me. More of just a personal preference than anything.

Thanks guys!

C.Lee is right. I swapped from stock (Trance Advanced SX 27.5) for Enve wheels, Reverb post, WTB saddle, Enve Bar, Troy Lee grips, Easton Havoc stem (50mm), and the Pike. Also, 34t ring instead of the stock 32. Shimano XT trail pedals.

I don't own a shop but I work at one…

Weight as pictured is 27.5 lbs. I've since swapped tires for Magic Mary up front and put the Hans Dampf in the rear. It's 28.0 on the nose with those tires.

PS: The bike RIPS. Hands down my favorite bike I've owned. As a comparison, I've owned a Giant Faith, Reign X, Nomad Carbon, Blur TRc, and very briefly a Bronson.

it is a sick bike, I love mine(non carbon) but I got to try out 27.5 covert this past weekend and I find covert 27.5 is more fun on descent.

Bradical, have you tried to fit a bottle (big or small) and cage in there with the Float X? Pretty sure I'll be pulling the trigger on an XL Bronson.

With the CTD X a water bottle will not fit. There is however an additional mount on the underside of the down tube.

Instead of a water bottle or a hydration pack , I have up to 4 Platypus style water bottles ( available at MEC) that are foldable , and flexible.
Each hold 1/2 a litre , so I put one in each short pocket and additional in my jacket packets which allows me to carry 2 L.

That's my solution…
