Testing hoops with a vendor is about all I can say.
I can say after riding carbon wheels (Easton Havens and now these) I'm sold on the ride quality of carbon rims.
These rims tick all the boxes right now: Light Bicycle clicky clicky
Doing a hookless version of these rims on King hubs for my Tallboy. After riding Reynolds carbon AMs on my TB for years and recently Derbys on E29 I won't be going back to aluminum rims except for backup wheels.

That's the one (22mm inside width) although I'm going to go with the beefier layup because I have a beefier layup.

Yes, fully legit and definitely Chinese designed and supplied rims. Maybe not quite as progressive as Derby or as much skin in the game but still legit.
As a lighter, racier rim they should build into some nice XC wheels.

These are my 650B carbon wheels from Trevor.. about 1700g for the pair. I know he can go a lot lighter with rim choice, but these are more suitable to my weight/riding style…
