i find wd40 works even better than goo gone for sticker residue removal.
NSMB - 2014 29er Thread
Any tips for removing decals? After a couple of beers while looking at the Inbred….rather it have no decals.
Lighter fluid
My 29er - Surly Krampus. I use it mostly for bikepacking missions. Great bike for exploring. :woot:
My 29er, I meddle with the set-up a lot, currently set-up for winter bashing.

Same stuff you use to light charcoal BBQ's?

that's a busy cockpit. two reverb remotes, or is one for the fork?

Not a bad shore HT. The reverb on a carbon race 29er is a nice touch.

yeah, the SID comes with the same remote as the dropper. If I can get the cohones I'll remove the dropper post and then put a manual lockout on the fork. I don't disagree with you about the business tho. Good thing the frame has some internal routing!

I have the niner post for additional squishiness and the lighter approach (along with a different seat). but I'm not good enough to ride Fromme with my seat up. :) So it'll go on for the Squamish rides in the summer. :)
I love this bike. Changes for 2014:
- 30t NSB Wide Narrow Ring (1x10)
- NSB Overlord Stem
It has Chris King where there needs to be, a Gravity Dropper post, Magura brakes [HTML_REMOVED] fork, Stans hoops with Schwalbe tires set up tubeless, and Shimano gear changers.
Just over 28lbs
Still rocking the Instinct for 2014 when time permits. Lots of bikes to ride these days. Don't plan on changing much on this bike, unless a Pike finds it way on there.
Rocky Mountain Instinct, slack position
130mm travel
140mm Revelation RLT
60mm Turbine stem with 785mm Six bar.
WTB Silverado Ti saddle
Carbon hoops laced with DT Aerolite on 240 hubs. Rims are 23mm inner and about 460grams each IIRC.
XX1 Drivetrain and brakes.
Ardent 2.4 rear, DHRII 2.35 front, both TLR and EXO. The DHRII is a MaxxTerra tire while the Ardent is Dual Compound.Weight is 27# flat with XT trail pedals, the waterbottle 1/2 full.
What carbon hoops are you running Ken?

Testing hoops with a vendor is about all I can say.
I can say after riding carbon wheels (Easton Havens and now these) I'm sold on the ride quality of carbon rims.
These rims tick all the boxes right now: Light Bicycle clicky clicky

Heat gun or blowdryer and some rubbing alcohol to remove any stickness
Why slag free swag?
ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.

Thanks.
Can say the paint they put on the Inbred isn't the greatest. It's almost like some kind of vinyl. And looks like the head tube and down tube stickers aren't put on well….bubbled a bit while wiping some grease off when used a dab of brake cleaner on a rag.
Could bitch about it or just build it up and ride it. Just paint and paying really for the frame. Then see the club member who does auto painting in town to repaint it later.
