Yeah. For short people. Size Large is the biggest frame, with only an ETT of 24.4" (620mm) and reach of 16.8" (427mm). If this thing wants to compete with the likes of the Banshee Prime, SC TB LT, Kona Process 111, etc. they need to rework the sizing a bit. Especially when they say stuff like this "We recommend the shorter style of stem, from 35-55mm and 720-780mm bars."

Yeah, I hear you. But it would fit my 6' frame just fine. Personally am waiting on the 650B version.

Blue also available. And it would be a killer frame if an XL 25.5-26" ETT/17.5" reach was offered. But it's not.

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about. BIkez are too pricey these days so it's nice to see a reasonably priced up-to-date frame available.

This looks refreshing in a world of overpriced carbon bikes…new On-One Codeine 29er, and a 650B version is in the works… about $3500 complete with Pike RC3, CCDB Air and X01 drivetrain. Amazing value for the dollars. Frame only is about $1100 (with CCDB Air).

Yeah, an On-One full-sus frame may be my next purchase.. I spoke with the designer via email and the 650B bike is currently being tested by their enduro team… possible release date by the end of the year. Will stay tuned to the development on that.

At that price, it's almost worth buying the complete for the build kit alone. I'll be watching eagerly for reviews as people start riding them.

I renewed my vows to my Enduro 29 this week. I like this bike more and more every time I ride it.
Got fresh wheels for Valentine's day.

Old quote to a new question: Real world report on:

  • technical climbing?
  • steep climbs and fighting the front wheel from coming up?
  • do you find you clip the pedals/cranks often?
  • feels ok with some mild jumping?

also which model/year do you run?

WTF, Over?

My comments are a bit skewed. I'm 6'6" so every bike before this one has compromised in fit one way or another.

Mine is the current model Comp (black and blue). I got mine in Spring of 2013. I've got about 130 riding days on it.

I think it climbs really well. My physical geo on the bike just feels right, but that's also a comment on how my other bikes have fit. I've always been a pretty strong technical climber but I've always pushed my more descending-oriented bikes hard in this regard. I'm used to bikes whose front ends like to wander on steep climbs. My E29 doesn't do this nearly as much as other bikes I've ridden. Definitely not as much as other bikes which descend as well.

This is the first bike I've had where I've got the stem flush against the headset and I'm running a nearly-flat bar and this hasn't limited the bike's descending ability at all. I'd say that's a combination of the big wheels and BB drop vs my high center of gravity along with the Pike's amazing ability to ride tall in its travel.

It's an amazing big guy's bike. This is the first bike I've had where it climbs well, it descends well but it also traverses well (which is something my FR bikes never did well).

I clip my pedals and cranks all the time if I'm not paying attention. But this has been the case with every low-BB bike I've owned since around 2005. It's the cost of doing business and pedals are tough.

It took some adjustment to get used to jumping it. I still haven't managed to get it fully horizontal but I'll get there eventually. There's a noticeable increase in the gyroscopic effect of the big wheels that takes some getting used to. It's not insurmountable and given the overall performance of the bike it's something I'm totally willing to live with.

TL;DR I love this bike. I will likely buy a fresh one next year and start all over again.

Personally I think that's a pretty good price for that bike. Carbon wheels, Thomson dropper post, XTR brakes/derailleur, Next SL cranks?

Being cheap is OK. Being a clueless sanctimonious condescending douchebag is just Vlad's MO.

Just an observation….I read a lot of magazines, surf a lot on biking related websites…and something has caught my attention:

The more I read mags and websites, the more I see wagon wheelers and 27.5 bikes…..the smaller my 26 wheels appear to be.

Kind of like seeing a bmx in a dirtjump edit, if you know what I mean.

My Karate Monkey, sporting gears for the first time since I bought it in May 2003.

Waiting on some monkeynuts from Surly so I can shim the rear wheel back a bit and put a 2.4 Trail King on the rear wheel again.
