its getting closer, the wheels are being build, and cranks are on there way
does the bccup in golden still have a hardtail class this yet?

Hardtails rule!
The Trl isn't getting much action since the Surface has arrived.
Huge thumbs up for the collection  especially the Surface. It just looks so right.
Yep that Surface is nicey :) I'm really liking the army green Deity as well, great colour!

Thanks for the compliments. I have to say that the Surface rides "right". Such a fun bike!

I've only ever had one bike for any given season. I've had many bikes over the years but I always seem to come back to the good ol' hardtail. Small and strong just seems to be where my fun zone is, I guess.
Here's the latest iteration:

I really want to retire that boat anchor of a Double Track but the thing just won't die.
My Chameleon is most of the way there now, new wheels are superstar gunmetal hubs (which look the tits) with Pacenti DL31 rims. Just need to sort some brakes now, maybe convert to tubeless with some better tyres when I get back from holiday :) oh and obviously red pedals.
Bumping this thread as rot's post above was sitting in the mod queue for a couple of days.

Before I did a parts update it was exactly 35lbs. It looked like this:

That was with a heavy steel (!) handlebar and some old DH saddle from back in the day.
Not sure with the new parts, I don't have a scale handy so let me claim "somewhere under 35lbs" for now.
Gonna give it the Stan's treatment and get a new front rim so that will bring the weight down some more.
Freshly rebuilt, excited to get it muddy!

And I thought I followed the right process to attach the images but apparently not…
