Sorry, I didn´t ask Maxxis about 650B tires.
But if they are as quick developing 650b tires as they are with tubeless ready and 29" models, I won´t have any problems riding my new 26" bike with fresh Maxxis tires. :yinyang:

I just read the latest issue of our biggest german Bike-Magazin.
It is hilarious. They hype the shit out of 650B. Their Eurobike-Coverage sounds like the 26" bike is already extinct.

Which wasn´t true at all, if you attended the exhibition. I was almost surprised that there was less 650B than I expected…

The German mags are very, very close to the "biz" though. Especially to those european manufacturers who were late to the 29" hype.

Go figure.

26.5 pounds

Cutting the seatpost, switching to folding (currently wire bead) tires and running lighter tubes would probably save me a fair few grams. But I'm really happy with it regardless.

That is real mountainbiking. I am jealous!

Do you carry a tarp/tent? Or just bivak?

More importantly the steel bead contis are not black chili compound. Get those and your bike will be lighter and tires will work a lot better.

Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.

This trip will be a hut-to-hut so no need, but I'm all about the tent. Big Agnes makes functional 1P tents at around 1kg so it's worth it for me to just carry that.

I have a handlebar roll that I'm not using this trip as well which can fit a tent and other bits

^^ I like the framebag - custom made or coincidental fit? The shock wont hit the bag when it compresses?

I almost certainly will - this is my first full suspension bike so I figured I should buy cheap tires until I figured out what pressure, tread, and size I prefer, then go from there. That said I really do like these so I'll probably shell out for the nicest version when it's time to replace them.

Thanks, custom made ( www.porcelainrocket.com ) and it rubs it a little but nothing bad

Ardent, DHF and DHR are coming. There's an article with tons of pictures on mtb-forum.it but I can't post a link (I guess I haven't enough posts on this forum).
