Finally built and ridden. Weighs 35.5lbs with DH rubber, coil front and rear and 4 pot brakes. I notice the weight reduction over last years on the trail. Maybe I'd like it more if it was even lighter? But I've tried lighter tires and they don't work for me, and I really don't like air shocks/forks, so that's where I end up. Maybe carbon cranks with a bling ring at some point, but that's about it.
Highlights… King hubs and headset, carbon front rim (823 rear coz I wreck rear wheels). Reduced the cassette to 7 speed, with direct mount hanger.

Very nice, pretty much how I would have done it as well. I really want to get used to clippy pedals but It's been a slow process.

So 14 pages, spring is almost here, who's taking the bragging rights?

Just came back from my first ride, did some pushbiking after work.
So far, not impressed at all but it did get a bit better the more I rode so gonna give them some more time and see if the bite improves enough. But at the moment it's really lacking that last bite that gets you up on the front wheel so to say. And by lacking I really mean not good enough to use on the front (for downhill at least, wouldn't mind as much on the xc).

It might be too early to tell though, so gonna get back on that after some more riding. But if it doesn't get better my old Formula disc is going back on the front at least.

Bike was unbelievably fun to ride, just need to get the suspension dialed etc.

Well, if we are sharing our Podiums…. Around 40lbs with DH tubes.
