shittier most likely; long travel concentric = suckage.

Whoa whoa.

Raw carbon, check
Minimal decals (probably easily removed), check
Made by James Trimble, check

Ok what did you do with Perry???

Is there a Vancouver in Taiwan?! I had no idea!!

this came in at 37lbs

Saw Rob at Pemby on the weekend. Bike looked slick. Mind you it was on the back of the Nitro;)

trimble's kid, huh? i did not know this. i actually chatted w/ brent trimble a couple times (in the process of warranting a cracked frame). interesting fellow, though his service was sucky. not unlike aaron franklin, now that i think of it. brilliant creatives should not be allowed to run businesses.

anyways, it takes more than carbon weave to win me over. hardware has to work. jamis did this bike ~15 years ago. concentric sucked then (heinous pedal bob, forward arcing wheelpath); no need to revisit that.

actually, this is probably better than the morpheous - w/ linkage actuated shock [HTML_REMOVED] floater:

while on the topic, here's a random homebuilt carbon bike out of the uk (appearing in dirt next month):

More info on this. Is there a build thread somewhere?

Light, yes. Fugly, yes. Even if it rides out of this world why can't the designers make it attractive?

I'm sure that racers climbing to podium are worried about what their bike looks like.

Hmmmm………….thoughts? Claimed 32.3lbs.

you have to run a rear 7 inch rotor and dropouts halfway back for the rotor not to grind on the frame..tight

considering the way racers dress…..I would say yes(although one could debate that they are color blind hence the vomit rainbow kits that are available)

Form should follow function, but seriously is it hard to make a bike look decent?
Protos can be excluded, but anything heading into a production line……

I think it looks a little odd, but I do like that they made it look unique.

Also, I wanted to add in something a little different to the armchair engineers saying that the geometry looks wrong and 'it looks flexy' :)

Before we jump to conclusions let's wait and see how many podiums this bike garners… and its still ugly.

Here's an actual racer at Windham with his Morpheus. It does stand out from the crowd.

No denying it stands out… however, unless Aaron Gwin is piloting that bike I doubt it will be on a WC podium anytime soon.
