Now that I look at it, it's a terrible picture. I will snap a few more with a better camera. I have some fancy new bits to add also.

So I got my bike a bit dirty riding trails that may or may not exist (not being cute, I just don't know what's legit) on Burke. Saw a wee black bear on the way up. Excellent times had by all. You can ogle my silly Kona with dirt on it here.

The question is, where is DirtySanchez's bike?

I have something en route….and actual proper DH bike. Just in time for summer. Photos when it's complete.

Shed head!

Yes ,I've been to whistler three times already, and haven't seen this Dirty Sanchez character.Hmmm, maybe it's some sales gimmick from the mighty WBP,to keep up us talking about the bike park:crazy:

how does the air shock feel on that, I'd be worried it was a bit of a compromise just to get the weight down?

Matt convinced me to try it, telling me if I didn't like it, we'd work something out and get an RC4 on there. However, he was adamant that the TR450 was a great frame to work with an airshock, particularly for a smaller guy like me.

I picked up the bike on my way up to Whistler with a buddy and we rode 8 laps yesterday and I can say I am very impressed! It is very plush once you are in the stroke and seems to suck up the bigger hits nicely. In the beginning I found I was blowing through the travel quite a bit and ramped up the progressiveness and force of the bottom-out assist and now it seems to be working beautifully. I should add the disclaimer that I am a comfortable intermediate rider and rode a pretty wide variety of trails from Crank it Up and B-Line to Schleyer and Whistler DH. I'm not a real comfortable jumper and probably can't comment well on its abilities on the jump tracks but I felt like it was working very well keeping the back end composed through some fast DH lines.

I was expecting to ride it for a ride and swap it for a coil, but I have to say I am leaning towards keeping it. I will do a few more rides and make a decision from there, but it's impressive!

Hope that helps,
Mark

Amazing weight… gotta say I would be a little afraid of the tires and shock at the bike park, but I'm a fatass…

Yep, but he said he was of the lighter variety. I have had some awesome bead blowouts on the trail with that rim/tire combo. Gizz everywhere. Not the setup for me but to each their own.

Just stay on top of your tire pressure, like EVERY ride.

Nice build :rocker:

What PSI were you running during the blowouts?

~30 psi. I found 35 psi (and no more) resolved the issue but if I wasn't careful and let the pressure drop below 30 and went riding…..BOOM!

I'm about 200 lbs with gear.

The hassle every once in awhile just got old and the weight savings didn't mean much to me anymore. I'm back on Continental tubes from MEC. Love em.
