I'll see if I can get a shot of my bike on the scale before the year is up ;)

Anybody going to be running one of these next season?

I'm waiting for a tire to arrive and the 2011 thread to post my bike.

Looked at those at Steed out of curiousity from their ad on the Inside Line, super nice. Then I saw the price.

Well, I tried, but I could only come second to your heaviest bike pedalhound…

And a crap photo to prove it was in the stand.

Minion EXO 2.5s
XTR spds
DHX Air 5.0
36 Van 20mm axle

Changes for next year will include adding a front derailleur, trying out tubeless, and a lighter bar pretty quick.

For the AM/FR category my thoughts on the 'rules' are as follows:
4-7" front and rear travel
2.2 minimum tire width
must specify 9mm, 15mm or 20mm front axle
50 post minimum
full extension / climbable seatpost
68 degree head angle (maximum) - new for 2011

Yeah, it's not cheap but carbon is so nice. At $209 I think it turned out to be about $50 more than my last carbon bar but that one was only 710mm.

Wow, that Enve bar is wide and damn pricey.

I picked up a Race Face sixc at 720mm (28.5") for $125 @ NSBS. The 28.5" is the perfect width for me so for once I am glad I am short because finally something fit me right out of the box with no mods needed.

Enve DH Bar (formerly Edge Composites) 31.5" @ 235g

Race Face sixc 28.5" @ 225g

I just tried a 30 and actually prefer the feel of my 27 - it's a matter of where my centre of gravity rests over the wheelbase. In the quest for the happy medium, both the SixC and the Atlas AM (both 28.5 with same angles; 50g weight difference) seem like good options.

pretty happy with my sixc bars, they look better then the enve imho…

they are a bitch to get into a good angle, so you get the most out of the rise though

Answer ProTaper AM Carbon bars weigh 205g for the low-rise version (720mm wide) and they're decent, although it takes a bit of time to find proper sweep.

Only one gripe, since when does a FR bike require full extension on the seatpost?

I plan on having a 63.5 degree head angle soon, so I think I'll just about get away with that last rule. :)

AM / FR usually need to be self shuttling to get to the top of the hills. That seatpost 'rule' has been in the list for a few years. If enough people gripe then it will get changed, but at this point I think it belongs.

63.5 degrees……sounds like fun.
