i keep seeing these ads and these pro riders tearing it up on Cannondale mtn bikes. never seen one, never seen a dealer. just not on the radar? terrible bikes? doesn't seem likely. bad paint jobs/graphics/funny forks? anyone, Bueller?

I'm riding a Jekyll. I've only had it out 5 times but so far so good. The rear suspension feel is excellent.
Taboo carries them up here, see lots around. Their twin travel platforms seem great and are really popular.

How so? It does seem odd that Specialized and Trek are more popular. Might be related to the lefty fork that Cannondale has promoted for years. People look at that and think it can't be stiff enough based solely on looks. Or being proprietary you can't just get a Fox fork without also needing a new stem and hub or wheel.
Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.

"Canadian" owner means nothing in this context
business decision (investment vehicle i.e. majority shareholder in broken company, due to be flipped after 3-4 years) made purely for investment purposes, not to provide the good people of Canada with fine Cannondales bicycle to ride up and down their mountains
sad but true, like many "investments" made by other similar financial terrorists…

Someone must be buying bikes from them, they have 3 stores in MetroVan.
(I've never bought a bike from them, but have bought some parts, clothing and accessories from them over the years and never had any issues.)
My shop carried Cannondale for years.
We were consistently short shipped product, support (local and from the mothership) sucked and payment terms were draconian.
I have a prophet and a CAAD 7 road bike mainly cuz they used to give the best shop-deals of any brands and when they made the bikes in America the end-of-season deals were even better, order the bike in october they would ship it and by the time I got the bike in 2-3 weeks the price had gone down another 10% to 1/2 price
no compliants with either bike
did anybody break a c-dale frame and not get their warranty covered?
