I'm looking for some new riding shorts. Baggy style but not too baggy, stretchy with a high crotch so I don't keep snagging them on the saddle nose.
My current ones are these. I want something similar but a bit more snug.
Any suggestions?

Which ones are those? I'm in kinda of the same boat, so let us know if you find something on your own.
New Chromag Ambit shorts are awesome. Just picked a pair up myself
The Ambit shorts look good! I'll add the Giro Venture shorts. I haven't worn them but I ran into a guy on the trail and they seem to have the fit you're looking for.
I have dakine sync line shorts that fit your description
I have the same RaceFace shorts as you, and find them too baggy, the material too snaggy and have a tough time getting them to stay up. I snagged some Specialized baggies, a couple model years old now but the "trail" level of baggyness an quite like them. Trim but not tight, stay up nicely, and they have little loops so you can hook them to your SWAT bibs to eliminate them sliding down. I bet the Atlas XC shorts are the current version.
Troy Lee Ace are pretty snug on me but I have thick legs.
I'm digging my Adidas Trail shorts. Great for long days in the saddle, but not the burliest (or most crash proof) baggies in my cupboard.
Surely bagginess is defined by how skinny you are and whether you have quads like pipe cleaners or tree trunks....
I have the TLD Ace and the Race Face shown above.
i snag the RF shorts often, and as such, the TLD Ace get worn the most.
the Ace fits a bit snugger, while still being a 'baggy' short.
I found a set of Sombrio clipse half price when the LBS went under, slimmer cut for sure, big patch of velcro at the snap closure, 2 zipper back pockets

Those look like they fit the bill. Where did you get them?

They are the Trigger model.
Trees Mountain Apparel. Canadian company, really well made, nicely fitting gear. I hate overly baggy clothing and these fit me great.
The resilient short 2.0 looks sharp in grey. I like shorts that are a little more understated and less "flashy". Thanks for the recommendation!
