Understood...suggestions?
Night riding lights!
Suggestions though??
Thx just took a look but they aren't carrying them anymore...will shop around!
Gemini ships from Asia to Canada. Their contact person is based in Victoria. I mailed them my Duo when the lens seal Broke. Was repaired/replaced.
I’m not against spending money on a headlamp as it’s not only for biking when you get a head strap compatible model.

Nite riders are good. Had mine for 3 years and no issues.

I find a bar mounted light so distracting. Feels like I have a light saber attached to my bike or like I'm a Gnarwal whale made of light

Lol glad someone picked up on that
You get what you pay for but those cheap magic shines actually work well enough to ride with if you have a helmet mount and bar mount. You’ll probably be running low in battery by the end of the ride and may loose one or both, but if you ride with at least one spare you can get home.
But if you want to do it right, get great lights. I found that the bucks spent on my Outbound Ultimate DH kit was worth it - although I expected to use them more. Hopefully this year!!!
Good lights erase the nice completely. Cheap ones erase it in a small circle infront of you. If you can spend the money and are sure you’ll use them, go big. If you’re not sure grab the cheapies you see if you like nightriding. It’s not for everyone.
In relation to what Dean is saying....The cheapies work good enough but DO NOT leave them charging without someone around. Those batteries are sketchy as fuck. Years back one of mine was so hot I just caught it before it burst into flames. Luckily I was home and could smell something burning. Had some that just switch off in the middle of the ride for no reason, then work fine. You get what you pay for.

Looks like Outbound Ultimate DH is out of stock at the moment and their website shows a lead time of 2-3 weeks. I may still pull the trigger as I did get annoyed with my 30-40 dollar amazon bar light repeatably dying with no warning last year (but it was 3 years old so actual that was pretty good value). The beam pattern was far from ideal though.
Did you buy the Outbound Ultimate DH right from their website (presumably shipping from Chicago) or is there somewhere that ships within Canada?
Do you find the Ultimate DH bar light shines in your eyes at all when you are in an aggressive riding position? I had to make a shade for my amazon light to not get distracted when I got too far forward.
I have not found that the light pattern bothers me. Yes I bought them right from their website - and I did so during last years Black Friday sale to save $50/$75 bucks US, can’t remember.
They’re awesome lights.
Picked up the Gemini 4000 for $320 on black Friday sale at bicicletta.

4000? What, are going to cook with it?
Check out Moonlight Mountain Gear ( www.moonlight.no ) , they make real high quality lights. Around here those are what pretty much everybody has ended up using for MTB and skiing. They deal very well with rain and cold, and the lightbeam is really good.
