Looking to buy a new wheelset for my Enduro 29er - something sort of "mid range" in terms of price. Either a solid aluminum wheelset or one of the cheaper carbon options - looking to spend not much more than $1,000 all in. Currently thinking about Flow MK3's or something like Light-Bicycle/Nextie. I'm still running the stock wheels from my Enduro 29er comp but they are pretty flimsy and I think the bike would feel a lot better with a stiffer and stronger wheel. I've also gotten rid of my downhill bike and plan to ride it in the bike park probably 5 times a year, so durability is important too. I'm not an overly aggressive rider but I weigh about 200 lbs. Not sure if I would go full carbon but thinking aluminum in the back and carbon in the front could work.
Any advice would be appreciated. Also curious as to which shop(s) in town are good to deal with for building wheels? Or should I just buy some complete pre-built wheels from the supplier?
