Has anyone tried the new Reverb remote?

We have one on the Nomad tester as well as on the Yeti 5.5 Cam's riding. It works. I'm not sure it's deserving of the amount of pr hype it got - there are plenty of other good, ergonomic dropper post levers, after all - but I have no complaints about it and would probably say it's in the top 3 in terms of function and feel. I didn't mind the old Reverb lever, though. It may not be quite as easy to find/use as some of the newer, shifter-style ones, but I found it pretty easy to setup and was very used to getting my thumb onto it and activating the post, even in rough/sketchy moments.

Like the RF one, there is a little bit of cable play, and it can rattle. Don't love that part.

If you want an alternative/newcomer, Wolf Tooth look to be developing their own alternative... https://www.instagram.com/p/BUz0extha8D/?taken-by=wolf_tooth_components - and going on the reputation of their cable dropper levers, it should be pretty good...

I just installed a new 9point8 dropper with that Wolftooth remote. Holy dyna so smooth with a light action and better ergonomics.

I think the biggest advantage the RS remote has over Wolftooth or any other is the the MatchMaker clamp. Having a clean cockpit like that makes a bike look so pro.

It does - though if that clamp breaks you're kinda screwed... you can actually get the WT remote for Matchmaker/I-spec I/II etc - but that said there is something to be said for the rockshox lever branding (if you like the logo)...

How does this remote work on a Reverb? Yeah there's a Reverb pictured in that post but how do the hydraulic guts connect to a cable lever?

I guess you'd have to decide just how badly you want to get rid of the hydraulic line. Because going that route means buying two pieces of gear. Buying the Rock Shox lever just one.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I've never had an issue with the old lever, but I have enormous hands (XXL glove) so maybe its easier for me to reach the lever. Still, I think I'll eventually make the switch.
