I am looking to get a hardtail that is around 1200 CAD for the complete bike. What do you guys recommend? I already have a dj1 fork so the fork won't be an issue. I was looking at some of the konas and the specialized p1 or p2. Thanks for your help.

Yeah but I don't want to spend over 2 grand on a hardtail, I only want to spend about 1200 cad.

I am mainly going to do street and dirt jumps, I already have a full suspension and I learned the other day its not that easy to pedal around an 8 inch travel bike everywhere. I think I am going to get a p1, get a new hub for it and a front mechanical brake. Thanks for everyones help.

I have a P.1 and it is awesome.I bent the EXR right away so i replaced it under warranty with a DJ2 QR20. I also replaced the rear mech. hayes with a Shimano Deore 525 hydro. replaced the cheap headset with an FSA and replaced the stock bars with 2" Pro-Tapers. I also threw on a home made headlok. It is probably mny favorite bike I have ever owned and its also probably the cheapest :)

Have fun bro

yea P1, you'll be fine as long as you put on your fork

the headset is probably fine cuz the headtube os so short there is not a lot of stress on it.

Get one, and never turn back.

I troll shitty posters like yourself, because it's amusing to watch you skidmarks get all riled up.

Norco Sasquatch. Decent part spec, very durable. Geometry is suited for west coast style riding.

Not sure if any stores still have this bad boy in stock.

The sasquatch is a little over my budget, but I can get a p1 for 400 USD new, wheras no one around my house carries norco, and the 125 would be double the price of the p1. All I am going to be doing on it is dirt jumping and street, I already have a full suspension for downhill and hucks.
