Should I sell and upgrade or tweak what I have? Im hoping for a bit of insight and opinions from some longtime local riders. I spent a lot of time on my RM Pipeline back in the late 90s and very early 2000s then stopped riding for about 10 years. Now that Ive deciding to get back into it I picked up a 2011 Stumpjumper ,140mm front and back, 32mm RS Revelation, short chain stays @ 419mmm and steep HA @ 68.5. Since that purchase at the beginning of this season I have been getting sucked back into this sport much faster than I had thought I would. After 2 rides at the Delta watershed Ive just been pushing my bike up the Woodlot and Burke Mt for the downhill. I dont ride too aggressively, nothing bigger than 4 feet or so and Im over the 200lbs mark geared up.
So, my question is .should I try to sell the Stumpy and change to an Enduro or SXT or Reign X (I know theres lots of choices) or I was thinking about putting on a dual crown specialized e150 and a set of angled head cups to slacken out the HA and stiffen the front end, lengthen the wheel base, etc. Id still be stuck with the 140mm Fox Triad for the rear shock though.
Oh, and I still need to bike around with my kids and I can only have one bike right now.
