Hey guys, just looking for some help identifying what year and model my fork is. From what I can tell from a google image search it could be anything from an 07 to an 09.

you can look at the s/n or date code. But you'll have to figure out how to interpret it.

example:

DATE CODES/RANGE AFFECTED
(date code can be located on the back of of fork crown and on lower leg)
09T8XXXXXXX - 42T8XXXXXXX

ill take some better photos after work, if these aren't enough.

Not in the photos, is a red, anodized removable rebound adjuster at the bottom of the drive side lower.

im guessing it's an 08, considering sn first 4 digits match up to those 08 domains with recalls

ok, handy info coming up!

I asked:

Is there an easy way to interpret these serial
numbers (similar to a cars vin number)? Or is a data base required?

Knowing this may save a few emails in the future.

The reply:

Yup - it's actually pretty easy - for 2006 and newer product you'll see a serial number that follows this pattern - XXYZAAAAAAA where XX is the week in which it was made, Y is the initial for the factory (usually T for Taiwan) and Z is the year in which it was made. Typically, anything later than the 20th week of that year will be product for the following model year.

If you ever are unsure of the year of a fork, we have a serial number reader in house we can use to determine the exact year and specifications of the fork.
