hey guys I'm looking for a new pack.
my old
bag was a camelbak mule that has finaly seems it's day.
looking for somthing not to big but still able to carry a camera some small tools a phone and cathouse other goods.
option to strap on a full face would be a plus.
anyone use the evoc trail unlimited ?
or the evoc enduro bag?
need a new pack!
I haven't tried those particular EVOC packs but I have an EVOC Freeride Trail and it is outstanding… so in general I would recommend their packs.
Or try the Camelback Agent or Asset? http://www.camelbak.com/en/Canada/Sports-Recreation/Packs.aspx
Have you checked out Platypus bags ? I got one from Mec awhile ago. So far really like it.
I have the Osprey viper 14 and it can fit a full face and is a great pack, worth checking out if you do not have your mind set 100% on an evoc pack.
huge fan of the dakine nomad, fits a whole schwack of stuff when required but still pretty minimal when just out for a cruise.
Has anyone tried one of the lumbar reservoir packs yet?

I have a MEC Mountain Fountain 9. I used to run a much larger Camelbak and do not miss the bigger bag. It weighs almost nothing, if I choose to go bottle instead of bladder.

I've been riding the smaller of Camelbak's LR series and really enjoying it both with and without reservoir. This is the bag I use when I'm not carrying my SLR camera. The hip pockets would hold a point and shoot cam perfectly as long as you're willing to risk crashing on it…
It's also not really designed for carrying a full face, but I like using it for shuttle laps when I just want a pump, tube, tool, and snack without a bag flopping around.

I read with interest your review when it first went up. I just have some reservations about the longevity of the pack as it looks like it is made of something I would use as a tent fly!?
I already have a camelbak havoc (has been a great pack but I am getting tired of it ridding up on steep downhills and its overkill for shuttle runs and whislter) and a old MEC pack which is too small for all but short XC loops.

I love the Osprey line of packs, some great features, light weight and I've been thrashing mine for three years and it barely looks used.
Being cheap is OK. Being a clueless sanctimonious condescending douchebag is just Vlad's MO.
definitly not sold on the evoc packs yet, most of them are pretty flashy and like Somone mentioned previously some look like 90s school book bags.
in my Internet travels I come across this bag. it made me look twice.

I'm itching to try one of the new Camelbaks.

My Dakine Nomad has been great but it's a bit big for the average Shore ride and not quite big enough for Chilcotin-style epics. I think these Camelbaks will be awesome; bonus that they're super light too.
There's nothing better than an Orangina after cheating death with Digger.
Evoc Trail FR for the win!
I really liked the idea of the Evocs. I like their durability, the back protection option and the fact that they come in a wide range of sizes. But once I tried one I instantly didn't want it. The cordura they're made with seems overkill now that we have these new poly fabrics that are durable as hell and way lighter. The Evoc packs actually feel heavy in hand. Which is weird at a time when just about everything else is getting lighter.
