the rmx is a damn beefy bike. at 250 lbs though, maybe the rear will be a little flexy? banshee scream is actually a good bet for you, they are the strongest freeride bikes around that i have seen and are cheaper than the rocky.

All the VPS and RM stuff is super burley and more than capable to handle a 250 lb rider. Just make sure what every you decide on, get a proper spring rate. That will make all the difference. I am at 230 and spring weight means everything. I had to beef up every bike I have owned. Both in the rear and in the fork.
So choose a bike that you like and fits your riding style and then worry about beefing up the springs.

That's the problem with cities, they're refuges for the weak, the fish that didn't evolve.

I don't want to google this - sounds like a thing that NSMB will be better at.

Go down to the dump, spend 5 bucks on an ol' crackhead special. An old apollo ten speed will do yah there. Thats what I ride to school, Its awesome, I can beat cars home :)

With the other 3995, Buy a used scream and upgrade it a bit. Keep the other like g for fixing it when it brakes.

Oh, no, you said trust fund. Man you are probably gonna get seriously flamed.

I am a big guy too, and personally I have issues with RMX for heavier riders. It just doesn't seem burly to me. Just call it a personal opinion.

I think the VPS will get the job done, and should save you a lot of money, it should be ~1000 cheaper.

If you have to ride a on teh street more, the Switch is your best option.
