No fork is perfect, well with the exception of the Monster, anyway, any product pushed will show weakness. I just think that limit can be pushed further with Marz than any other fork.

That was my main reason to switch to a DC fork. Long Travel SC forks are all press-fit. I didn't want to have to worry about crown cracking and loostening, so I went with a Slider, best choice ever!

a friend of mine is complaining about is creaking too!!! im not certain just yet….tomorrow i check.

i made the mistake of buying or switching to a /03 Z1 FR for my Torrent, i should have went DC….the fork is doing just fine, its all just a matter of time before that creaking hits me im sure!!!

hope its a quick turn around 4 ya….

whats perfect about the monster? maybe the 00-02 ones, but the 03 ones are way to heavy and don't work any better. plust they are just plain ugly this year.

why are you complaing about a fork creaking, if your a beginner dirt jumper or a hack in general buy a friggin DC. If your a dirtjumper who is smooth buy a shermin, a z1 wont last unless your smooth and a racer ?

Perfect in the sense that no other fork, is better suited for it's purpose than the Monster.

I agree, the 03 Monsters are garbage.

1) The crowns are changed 2) the Z150 crown is probably steel 3) the ovalization problem was probably more to do with manufacturing than design.
