so…after breaking my wrist a couple of days after my last post, I finally stopped playing emo and built mine up…it's a definite frankenbike, although the worst part is I'm still not supposed to be riding so it's lanquising in the bike locker right now
…I'll post up some pics and a parts list as soon as I can find a scale strong enough to hang it on…
kperras…do you know if OBB in Nanaimo has a scale at their location??
I'm also looking for seat reccommendations/suggestions…I've got WTB Silverado SLT Ti's on both my other bikes, but was aiming for something a little more…err….economical for this one.
Wow, sucks to hear. I seperated my shoulder when I was just about to build my bike up, which was at the end of May. Hopefully your wrist doesn't take as long to heal up - my shoulder still keeps bugging me. Get well soon!
As far as saddles go… Apparantly SLRs can be purchased for cheap and you can't beat an SLR Ti, weighing a mere 135g. Also, there's a "copy" of the Sunline V1 floating around in BC, sold under a different brand. The saddle has a great shape and weighs close to 200g. 20 or 30CAD if I recall corretcly but I got that information from reading through the DH bike topic, so don't quote me for it. Another option would be to pick up a WTB Devo. Again, great shape and the Cromo (OEM) version is really cheap. At least over here, that's about the cheapest saddle you can get. Doesn't look as cheap as it is though, and it only weighs 225grams, so definitely a great bang for the buck.
