im considering putting the mrp bones combo on my hardtail. what do you guys that ride it think about it?

i'm a little confused about the setup…first off, what is the difference between system 1 and system 2? also, what exactly does it come with? on the mrp website, it looks like it has everything i need except the chain-ring itself? (the ones i have are 4-bolt) any info would be great. thanks. :)

I'm hearing there pieces of shit, but haven't rideen them personally for any amount of time. Save your monies and go with block 8's or profiles.

i havn't really looked at the block 8's. what are they like? on the bones - i like how it has the inner chain guard…i wanna have my chain sandwiched in so that it doesn't skip around and stuff up front. (make sense?)

in my opinion it's not worth it. when retail is around the $900 range, you could isntead go out and buy a set of Profiles ($400'ish) and then a nice Livid Chainguide ($300'ish) and you're still saving $200 over the MRP system. I was thinking of the MRP's until i realized how much they cost and the fact that I could save $200 and get something that's proven and in my opinion better.

There are some pretty outrageous prices out there. Someone mentioned $400 ish for Profiles?

BMX stores are sweet. Walk in with cash in your hand, and you can have Profiles with tax for a good chunk under 3 bills.

BMX shops will usually give you a rounded down price of anything if you pay in cash

i was talking about what i believe was the MSRP for the cranks, i'm fully aware that you can walk into shops and do much better then that, but i was just going on a rough idea of what i thought they probably average in sticker price.
