You need to shit or get off the pot, this is taking far too long, go and get a new bike already.
lol 😆Â
I can appreciate his waffling process though and wanting to make sure he gets the right bike.

Yes, but I don't want to degrade how the bike pedals. Modifying the offset bushing or the linkage will have a similar but detrimental impact on the seat tube angle as it would the head tube angle, at least when I visualize all of the moving parts in my mind...
Even worser, the slacker seat tube angle will increase your virtual top tube length too, essentially sizing your frame up...
I just put a longer travel fork on my bike and everything is rainbows and unicorns, except the $#@&$+% cockpit is now too long. Will be dropping travel back to stock asap.

Not waffling - I know what I want. Have not been able to find it. May have to settle for close (frame with lower spec build) and build to top spec but generally not thrilled with that concept as itll be time and more money.
Looking for a 2018 Slayer top spec, barely used (great shape), medium, black, good or even fair deal. There are a few fall-back options but Im looking for #1 for now.Â
Fall backs:
New Offering at Jensen for C$6500
BC Instinct - a few around.Â
I know of a good high spec Altitude coming up in springÂ
I have my eye on a Wreckoning but its not ready yet.
Seen that one obviously - want better spec. Plus it looks thrashed as youd expect a rental Slayer from Coastal would be (a good shop but lets be honest, its at Whistler) .

yeah sorry, waffling wasn't the right word. I get where you're at tho.
Pivot Firebird 29? 28-29lbs with a 36/X2 and decent wheelset, climbs well with DW-link and descends at least as good as the E29/Slayer?

Maybe wait and see how the megatower shapes up?

I am pretty sure that Firebird build you see on PB has the wrong weight listed. A Big Bird like that is going to be in the 32- 33lb range unless I am missing something.

it has (diatomic) hydrogen in the wheels and suspension for negative weight
Haven't weighed one myself but pretty sure I was reading actual user builds with 36/X2 Factory, XT/XTR 11 speed and carbon wheelset (Reynolds or SC Reserve?), EXO casing tires were sub-30 in medium possible large w/o pedals? Could be way off, does sound stupid light for a 170mm 29er.
If they are sub 30 without a uber gucci mega weight weenie build I hope you have another bike. You'll be well practiced as returning the frames for warranty. Ask any Switchblade owner you see on the trail what number frame they are on.

My friend has had his Switchblade for about a season. No issues. It certainly isnt weight weenie either, I think he said its 33lbs. I didnt know about the frame issues, not sure he does either.
I found my bike! I knew that when I found it I’d know. Took longer than I hoped but I’ve been waiting for this bike.Â
Barely used Slayer full XTR/Saint with never ridden X2 float factory and barely ridden 36 factory and new transfer. Carbon wheels. It will do!!
