ye olde dh steed needs to be re-shod. without getting into too much analysis, what's the current state of the 2 ply art? i've been running michy c16's [HTML_REMOVED] cut c24's since the dark ages, but they're now extinct. for local riding - pretty much exclusively (shore / whistler). hr2 rear / dhf front - both in 3c? i demand consensus.

Yep, that'll work very well. I've still got a HR1 on the back of my DH bike with a DHF on the front.

Little bike has 2x HR2's. All great tires. All 3c.

I'm running HR2 dual ply for the winter. I wasn't super impressed with the 3C Exo tires tubeless on the wet shore roots. Just kinda average IMO.

I'll be switching back to single ply's here soon though.

I use a DHF EXO up front and HR2 EXO out back. The HR2 brakes well (better than a DHF in back) but for summer I think I'll switch to something faster-rolling.

2ply DHF and HR2 is a solid combo for DH

schwalbe muddy mary verstar 2.35's are the best all around dh tire nowadays. It's not an opinion as much as fact.
