maxx terra. i've only ever seen the maxx terra for sale at LBS but this dual compound is a slightly cheaper option online. anyone with experience notice much difference in ride performance? was fondling 2 minion 2.5's yesterday one with m terra and one with m gripp. both seem very soft but the gripp just a bit more. the one with gripp was also DD casing which was notably heavier. as in probably too much for my purposes.
maxxis dual compound vs
Iâm running a MaxxTerra Highroller II x 2.4 front and a Dual Compound Highroller II x 2.4 in the rear. The dual compound is noticeably slicker on rocks and roots, but lasts about 10 times as long as a rear tire. Itâs definitely a trade off.
Anyone know how thick the outer soft layer of rubber is on a 3C or similar rubber? It strikes me that once you wear through that layer you're riding on hard rubber.
Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.

It is fairly thick, I run 3c front and rear on the winter wet months. In the summer I run dual compound rear and 3c front.
3c rear is slow but great on wood.
and now that i think about it, what i really wanna know is maxx terra vs maxx gripp? mt is pretty dam good, i wonder if there is any discernible improvement with the even softer mg.
Maxx terra 70/50/42
Maxx grip 70/42/40
