try to find one of their products in Canada. very difficult. try and contact the company, which has a Cdn version of their website. impossible. try and find a distributor or store. apparently there are none in Canada. incredible, how the hell is anyone supposed to buy their stuff???

Easy solution. Dont buy Mavic. There are an abundance of options out there that perform just as well.

I like their products, and the MP3 program is freaking amazing for the money, but I wouldnt buy a product if the region I lived in didnt support it well enough. I dont have that problem here in the US :)

I wouldnt consider it a reason to upset at Mavic though. Maybe disappointed, but not upset. Years and years ago, if a product wasnt made in the country that you lived in, you didnt even know about it. If you did know about it, you couldnt afford to get it to your doorstep anyways.

Mavic and their long time Canadian distributor parted ways in the fall. There is a small distributor starting up(?) for western Canada, but has very limited (if any,) stock for now.

Check my stuff for sale!

Kinda sucks, we live in one of the most influential MTB places in the world, but we are not a big enough market for big EU companies to care (beyond having a distributor).

It's pricey, but Mavic has some of the best soft goods going.

There is a distributor set up for North America, and some shops are going to dealing with them. As with these things, a lot of it is set up for Spring as there isn't much point having tonnes of inventory sitting around when few are buying.

Amur Sports is the distributor in the US, perhaps contact them and find out which of your favourite shops will be carrying Mavic gear?

Remember to that Mavic softgoods (shoes, clothing), don't know about parts, are WAY cheaper in the UK, half the price of what would get charged here. It used to be that European shops weren't allowed to ship Mavic outside, maybe they are now, but I've had good dealings with http://www.slanecycles.com
