Marzocchi to close for good??

This gives me some hope, I really hope the MTB division can continue. I have always had Marz forks, really reliable - and easy to maintenance as well.

Funny thing, tho - I have not seen a Marzocchi ad, review or even a Marzocchi sponsored rider (I think) in any magazines of late. There was one on mtb-news.de a few days ago, but other than that - silence.

The market is pretty saturated and there are quite a few offering suspension for every niche and wallet, with Rock Shox apparently owning the major share alongside Fox.

their instagram post yesterday also hinted that mtb division is still good.

I just picked up 350NCR Ti myself just over a month ago.

Considering they were introducing the 350 NCR plus at sea otter, I think that the MTB division will be continuing… I couldn't see a company going out of business doing that, to only close up shop in the next week.

I picked up a 350 NCR a couple months ago and can't say enough good things.

Thanks, I never check that site tho. Just the boards for me, and Bike Mag and some others, but somehow I can not really follow PB that much. That may be soo 00s, but well, you know….just can't.

Straight up missing out.

Wow. That sucks. You would think that Marzocchi's brand value and name would be valuable to someone else in the MTB suspension business. Perhaps they could buy it for a song and keep their good name going. Its too bad. They made, from my experience the most durable, low maintenance and trouble-free forks I've used.

capitalism at it's finest!

We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

I won't miss them.

I will.
They made a solid product that fit the needs of a large number of riders. I could never justify spending thousands on a bike, then another $1500 for a Fox 40. So I made the Marz products work.

I'm kind of sad that they're gone. It's just one less competitor in the market which is never a good thing for the consumer.

they made shitty products for a lot of years that self-destructed and caused a lot of injuries to a lot of people. may not be true of the past few years, but it was for a number of their years throughout the 2000's, no love lost on this end.

The Mtn Bike business was for sale, they had a descent number of suitors (around half a dozen), if you read the article carefully, it sounds like there could be a transition over to new ownership for Mtn Bike products.
