i have limited experience on one, but man is this one desirable bike- makes me salivate:

we're getting a new bike skills park locally, including a pump track and this seems like it would be a lot of fun on trails and track alike. unfortunately, one bike would probably have to go to make room for another…

i had transition transam 29. well sorted bike, but i fell out of love with it for a couple of reasons that i think would hold true for the 650b version: 1) the bb is on the high side. if you are planning to stick with the stock fork you'll probably be fine, but if you're a "stick a bigger fork on it!" kind of guy, or like a low bb/bike that carves, it might be an issue. 2) the top tube/reach is on the short side. if you are mostly leg/a bit of a t-rex, or like an upright riding position, you're golden. but the short TT restricts the amount of room you have to move around

The hardtail and the wheelbarrow.

Spoken like someone who hasn't spent any time on a good hardtail.

I ride a wheelbarrow. It's more enduro.

I ride a stump jumper expert carbon 29'er hard tail and its perfect for my xc riding

Light (frame just 1.2kg), stupid fast, snappy handling and surprisingly comfortable - skinny seat stays and long 27.2mm seat post helps there.

Spent years riding fs bikes of many flavours and don't miss the fs at all.

I tried reviving my old norco hardtail but just got punished, had less fun. Figured whats the point esp when with the flick of a switch you can lock out your rear shock. Not for me. Dually = faster = more fun.

Haha, paints an excellent picture of what you actually look like to everyone else as opposed to how rad you think it is!

I'm too stupid to dial in rear suspension quite honestly.

Wrong. Always.

I've tried riding my hardtail but it just feels bouncy and rough,so now it stays on the rack and donates parts to my good bike when I need them.
