Yeah, ST is too short for tall guys too...ugh. I hate this short ST trend. Long droppers are not an answer. The longer the seat post, the longer the lever, the more stress that puts on the frame, the further back the saddle is...just so many bad trade offs for short ST's....ugh...
long travel wagon wheelers

And I'm over here trying find a 29er wheel with 135mm hub spacing to rebuild my hardtail.
Should be fairly easy to find a 142x12 wheel and replace the end caps.

Looks like they got their 74.5 from centre bb to centre st clamp. Not good for tall dudes, maybe good for midgets.
Ugly bike, ugly numbers.
New Stumpy or Norco Sight over this....

Couldn't disagree more. Running a 185mm Bike Yoke Revive on my bike currently and wouldn't trade it for anything.

another 29er to throw into the mix , 130mm rear travel , 140/150mm up front depending on model.
Commencal released the numbers! A bit slack in the ST...but the XL comes with a full 520mm....YASSSS! Good job frenchies! The Meta TR 29 just went to the top of my list...nice.

Yea they look decent. The ST confuses me , on the TR they show 74deg and for the AM they show 66deg.

I really like the look of that at that pricepoint.
My new steed - 2018 Evolve Alpha 29er - 160mm/150mm DVO suspension, Eagle and shy of 30#.
Anyone post the pivot firebird 29 yet?
http://reviews.mtbr.com/pivot-firebird-29-first-ride
It looks beastly. 162/170mm, 65 HTA, 480mm reach on a large.
I'm wondering if it's a little much even for a dude riding Seymour and fromme and Galbraith. Might be more of a cypress/bike park freeride machine than a trail bike.
Pretty sick though... I definitely would demo one although I bet that will be tough. Who has pivots in town? I'm only aware of kinetik and I suspect they won't have a demo...
Edit: looks like obsession is the dealer on the shore?

Yeah a lot of pivot bikes look like the frames got melted in the sun. The Phoenix 29 with the straight tubes looks awesome.
Biggest downside is the 157mm rear hub and cranks and no frame only option. I am better at achieving n+1's when I can buy a frame when my wife is in a good mood and then piece it together. It's is hard to get 7k approved in a single shot... Lol
I hear you. I seem to be the minister of labour while my wife is the minister of finance.
