So I handled the new Troy 29'r at Dunbar today and was impressed.

Not even one hour after mech built it up.
2.4 on rear fills it right up. 2.5 would be the limit. Kinda' odd with competition building in clearance for 2.6.
Guess that's what happens when tyre tech catches out your design team.

My Django fits a 2.4WT on a 35mm ID rim no prob , not sure if a 2.5WT would fit. I was hoping there was another demo day for the lowermainland , but no luck. They are in Penticton today. Did they allow one to ride the 29" Troy ?? or was it just on display.
Is on floor with the rest. Don't see why not.

I think it's nice that Devinci decided to make a Wreckoning. That's how ahead of the game Evil was with that bike, that was seen as so extreme in 2015, is now seen as the latest and greatest when Rocky and Devinci do it in 2018.

Hub standard not so new...Pivot's been doing it for a few years now...it's what boost should have been from the beginning. I am not so stoked on it now that I have seen it though...we'll see what the reviews say and how it holds up longer term.
Knolly also doing it on the new Fugitive, and likely on all their models going forward.

I think it's nice that Devinci decided to make a Wreckoning. That's how ahead of the game Evil was with that bike, that was seen as so extreme in 2015, is now seen as the latest and greatest when Rocky and Devinci do it in 2018.
Its more in line with a Sentinel in terms of travel (140mm) in the rear. Kind of a Wreckoning/Sentinel mix. Sure hope the seat tube doesnt end up being as slack as it looks, or it will suffer the same issue as your Wreckoning did?

Other than Knolly and Pivot , who else is 157??? Everyone else just switched from 12x142 t 12x148 in the last 2 seasons. My last bike was a 2015 and it was 12x142 , current is a 2017 and it,s 12x148 , so this is a new hub standard !!!

Well Devinci makes 3. I think you will see it being more universally adopted as new models are rolled out. I expect to see more Superboost bikes in the 2019 and definitely 2020 model years. Again it isn't 'new' as Pivot has been doing it for a couple of years.

I would consider it NEW still , 3 companies out of dozen,s !!. Pivot is also a boutique bike , not a huge mainstream company like GT , Kona, Giant, etc. Devnci is one of the 1st large scale mainstream companies to embrace this so again it,s still new by standards already set and used by other companies.
And I'm over here trying find a 29er wheel with 135mm hub spacing to rebuild my hardtail.
