for $45 what could possibly go wrong?

We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

Nothing of course... but I would charge those lights outside… risk of fire is real with those cheap systems.

^^^Gulp,

Yah, I had those Magic Shine $ 40 knock off's or whatever the model is that is discussed on this thread the most, great deal, they work fine…but mine hummed while they charged which made me very nervous about the possibility of a home fire starting, so I got rid of them.

They served there purpose though, proving that night riding is fun, so I'm still night riding just with a more expensive product. I feel the price is justified though, as I get out enough and I don't have to worry a home fire

the quality of my Magicshine lights is far superior than my old 300 dollar HID nightriders.

these 20 buck ones seem pretty damn good for the price as well

Has anyone managed to obtain a new battery for a Niterider light from a source other than Niterider? Kinda pricey and it is cheaper to buy a whole new light set it seems. I have dropped a battery and shattered the case it was in and it won't work any more plus it was old and not up to snuff anyway plus I have another two that are loosing their ability to hold a charge.

Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.

i had the opportunity to try out the new Specialized Flux Elite light last Friday night on my ride at Sumas on Squidline . not a bad unit , pricey but worth it in some ways due to it,s features .
it,s a self-contained unit so no battery or cables ,
it has a remount switch if one chooses
there is several options of light usage , different lumen ratings , strobe , choice of LEDS lite .
light can be flipped upside down if needed
quick-change mount .

for one ride and the conditions , cold and windy at the time i liked the unit , the brightness lasted the whole ride where those in the group with Magic Shines where below 50% battery life over the same time frame .

not sure i would pay $300ish for it but it is a unit to look into .

speaking of battery life my helmet lite is a 4 cell Gemini Duo

i used it for my ride with the Specialized unit above , several hours the other nite doing trail work and a couple hrs last night when we had a power failure and the light quality was still strong for a lite that was in use for over 4 1/2hrs minimum .

Enter your tracking number in the Canada Post site. Looks like it is stuck in Canada Customs in Ontario.

I am so sick of forking out on numerous lighting systems .
Current make and model is Light in motion Arc the wire from light housing has pulled out of solder points on circuit board.Diameter of hole is size of pencil. close together proximity then grommet popped back in .Seems im not capable of tedious maneuver.
The light before was Cygo tri light from mec i lost headlamp now battery and charger remain. Plus got 2 extra turbo chargers im not using for LIM.

I ordered from them a year ago it took 5 weeks so patience is key, one of the downsides of the cheapo lights
