Why would anyone want a FD anymore? I don't know anyone who uses one.

Frames aren't as stiff, main pivot bearings wear faster, bikes are noisier, heavier, dropper post lever ends up in a crap spot etc.

They're just all-round shit.

While I too know Todd, I am with you.

6 hours into a chilcotin ride a 22x36 isn't such a bad prospect ;)

/\Clearly Interbike needs to setup an octagon for us bike nerds to fight in about our bike nerd issues. Declare your cause, ("I fight for the sanctity of 142mm axles against the scourge of 148 boost!") and have at it.

Include a weapons rack with giant hammers and tridents and stuff, and for really important stuff (4mm differences in bottom bracket heights, 29ers with .5" too little travel, wide bars vs pretty much wide bars!!) fights would be to the death.

They need a solution for the faltering attendance anyway…

2.6 tyres.

Freedom of contract. We sell them guns that kill them; they sell us drugs that kill us.

Combatants should be required to wear inflatable costumes too.

YES THIS. If you listen closely you can hear one dinosaur yell "For the honor of 9 speed!".

Any reason to think Di2 would have helped on this 8hr ride or is grit in a chain [HTML_REMOVED] cassette the same and hence it won't matter?
