Look I would want to ride a rigid bike with a dropper before a full suspension without one, but I don't know if makes sense to drop 300 dollars on an externally routed dropper in a weird post size that won't be compatible with your next bike. Maybe see if TransX has something that would work for under 150 dollars? Otherwise I'd just get a nice quick release.

Can just drill a hole in the bottom of the seat tube

One of these. Cheap at 19,000 thousand Canadian pesos. Glad I can still peddle my own bike:)

Don't forget a dropper!

Faaaaack they're expensive! And I need a break at the top anyway before I drop my seat, using my ancient technology "quick release".

What size your seat tube?

Not sure, gotta dig my calipers out and check.

Got em out and mic'd it.  27.2mm give or take a couple hundredths.

Check out pnw's refurbished dropper post program. You can likely get something refurbished to new functionally under $150cdn shipped

Seriously dropper posts are probably the most important innovation on mountain bikes since hydraulic disc brakes.

I use my dropper more on a single flat trail ride than I ever used a front derailleur. I just put my old external dropper on my 9 year olds bike and it has been a revelation for him. He sees the light!

Get a PNW or a transX (pnw are made by transX). You will not regret it.

Bingo.  KTM 500 EXC with upgrades is still less expensive than whatever that is supposed to be. 😂

There's always Beta if you want to fly the weird flag.  Or Navy and yellow KTM.

Also Gas Gas... https://www.gasgas.com/en-ca/e-bikes/e-bikes.html

Ps- rode Hartland tonight with the new brakes.  Whoa.  One finger braking eh?  That's neat!
