I like 3M tape better than Ride Wrap

How about a thread to talk all about our experiences using 3M tape from Lordco to protect your bike? It's only $25 if you didn't know.

We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

Anyone find a tape for matte finishes?  I’ve only found gloss, and it looks super weird on a matte finish.

I've used Lordco 3M tape on my last 3 or 4 bikes, before there was any such thing as pre-cut frame protection. I use paper and a ruler to make rough templates where needed.

I can't compare to any pre-cut frame protector but I find It's durable and sheds dirt quite well. There was a time I peeled it off the lowers of my Pike some paint came with it. Depending on your blade an cutting technique the edges may not be precise enough to stop dirt getting just under the edges.

Used 3M for all my bikes. Biggest complaint is the serrated edge on the tape.
