I was thinking exactly the same thing Dave. Even if he has a great year, but doesn't dominate….the internets will run amok

Isn't/wasn't specialized supported by Monster?? Or was that just the riders?

it's a job, one that likely has a 5 year window to make the biggest cheddar. Gotta get it while it's good.

This is my dream program and I can't thank them enough for this opportunity. Bring on 2013

Interesting thing to say, considering the success he had with his former team

Not suggesting shadiness and I'm not too sure how it works in the MTB industry. IMO when you sign a contract you honour it. Gwin should've waited till his contract was up (I'm assuming that was at the end of this season) and moved on then. Specialized must be paying a king's ransom for the move. Hopefully it's worth it. Even Lebron waited till his contract was up before he moved somewhere else and look at what people thought of him.

maybe Trek wanted to move him? I'm sure there is more to this than meets the eye.

Sounds like more info will be released soon.

Sounds more likely………….wonder who will be on it looks like a Trek next season. Funny thing is, I don't think he helped sell Sessions. Waaaaaaaaaaaay more Demos on the hill that I saw over the last two seasons.

It also kinda sounds like he may have left Royal too….and Bell. Stik kinda hinted as he may be running TLD stuff.
