how much should i offer?

hey everyone,

i found someone who has a flanged bb for $15 bucks and im totally fine with it and hes also selling a 2000 champagne hayes(6") thats in "good" condition. so he told me 15 for the bb and offer him something for the brake or both together. what should i offer him for both??
obviously i have no idea what a 2000 hayes would run for so thats why im askin. i have a shitty vee for the front right now so im willing to spend some money for at least a little improvement.

thats a hard call to make since I believe they do not make the champagne anymore so I don't know if it's equivalent to like a mag or a hfx 9.

I would say definetly no more that $100 as caps just had hfx 9's on for $140

The brake is a Mag, "champagne" is just the colour.

I'd say offer him $140 for both if it's in good shape. The Mags are a far superior brake in comparison to the HFX 9s that Cap's is flogging.
If it was me though I'd buy an XT(bikeroom has a good deal on fronts right now) and get way superior performance for a similar price.

but they're from 2000, thats 4 years old… i was guessing something like 50 buck for it since its so damn old, and then 15 for the bb

otherwise just get the BB…
