Just curious, help solve a debate for a pal and I OK. And I am reffering to the head tube, BTW.

I guess it really depends on how you ride. Dual crowns add a considerable amount of stress on the headtube, but if your smooth it could last, however say goodbye to warranty.
I did however own an Enduro, and even though Specialized says they have guys doing 15 footers on the shore without issues… I can tell you my frame bowed and cracked without ever leaving the ground more than a couple feet. My old Rocky Mountain Vertex took more abuse … and it's a race XC hardtail. Specialized took care of me and said my frame was a welding issue … but it surely not a freeride bike.

You just want the fork. :P

ok.. i really need to know this. will my cute little bike be fuxored?
ride a horse! 1200 pounds of raw muscle, power, grace, and sweat between your legs…
but riding bikes is still fun!
Ask the people at Dizzy or JH.
It's a DC for, but not a big one, and the front triangle on that frame is pretty strong. You aren't going to be doing Digger's Rock, so I would think it should be fine. Plus, the Specialized warranty doesn't say anything about DC forks voiding the warranty.

Other than contacting Specialized and hearing otherwise, I wouldn't feel comfortable letting someone ride that bike… but that's just me :)

No warranty and it is very dangerous to have that fork on there. That bike was meant for light xc and should not have any dual crown fork.

The area around the headtube is most likly butted, since its for light xc riding.
Putting that fork on there will just make it break :(

Hmm, well I know Furious just built his with a DC fork and he did a lot of research before buying it, so somehow I doubt there's a warranty issue
OK, if m33p and inshane say it's wrong, I wouldn't do it.

That's also there ds/light freeride model, not the lightweight xc model. Notice the difference int he headtube design? I believe that frames warrantied to 6" forks or lower.
