How do you store your bleed kit?

This may be a dumb question but do you clean your syringes before putting them away? I usually just empty the dot fluid and wrap in paper towel and put away. Should I be rinsing them water and dry befote putting away?

I wrap in them paper towel and put them in a ziplock to keep dirt out.

Don't use water. They don't need to be "clean" the fluid won't spoil. I doubt DOT fluid is 100% water soluble so water won't get them clean anyway. And if you don't get them 100% dry before you bleed again, then the leftover water will contaminate the new fluid.

I spray them down w iso and wipe clean before putting back in zip loc bag. Dont loose the O-rings on he avid guns!

I take mine apart and rinse the parts under the outside tap then I might run some alcohol through the system let it all air dry then I put it away. I figure a light coating of remnant dot fluid will turn gummy in time as some of it evaporates.

I do that too, but I also put a folded up paper towel in the bag to soak up any loose brake fluid that leaks out of the syringe or hoses.

I just bled my reverb remote. The syringes were in a zip lock and had been drained but not rinsed. All sticky and the zip lock was fused together in places. Bleed went very well except for the nor time I was pushing air from the syringe and it let go suddenly and squirted five weight all over. Rinse them off boys.

leave them on the work bench with everything else that I've used in the last 3 years.
